Mtendere Stitches

Mtendere Stitches is a growing fashion and tailoring business based in Lilongwe, Malawi. I started the business as a tailoring shop, providing customers with quality, custom-made clothing. My vision is to grow Mtendere Stitches into a recognizable Malawian fashion brand that designs and produces stylish, affordable and high-quality clothing for women and men. We will offer custom-made and ready-to-wear clothing, including dresses, two-piece outfits, shirts and special-occasion outfits. With investment, I will increase production, improve equipment and workspace, access quality fabrics and materials, and develop professional branding and packaging. I will also use social media to showcase our designs and reach more customers. As the business grows, I aim to create employment and practical skills opportunities for young people in tailoring, fashion design, production and sales. My long-term goal is to build Mtendere Stitches into a sustainable fashion brand that starts in Lilongwe and grows to serve customers across Malawi.
