GROUND NUTS AND MAIZE PRODUCTION

We are building a sustainable agriculture business focused on the commercial production of maize and groundnuts. Our aim is to produce high-quality crops that contribute to food security while generating income, creating employment and supporting economic development in our community. We will use improved seed varieties, good land preparation, timely planting, proper crop management, soil fertility practices and effective pest and disease control to increase productivity and improve crop quality. Maize will be produced to meet the demand for staple food and animal feed, while groundnuts will provide a nutritious food crop and an additional source of income. We will target households, traders, schools, restaurants, processors, agro-dealers and other businesses that require reliable supplies of maize and groundnuts. We will also focus on proper harvesting, drying, grading and storage to reduce post-harvest losses and maintain quality. As the business grows, we plan to expand our cultivated land, improve storage facilities, strengthen relationships with buyers and explore value addition opportunities. Through this enterprise, we seek to build a profitable and resilient farming business that provides dependable agricultural products, improves livelihoods and contributes to sustainable agricultural development in Malawi, while encouraging other young people to view farming as a viable business opportunity.
